Latin America and the Caribbean

The Central America and Caribbean Food Security Portal is a source of food security and nutrition indicators, early warn-ing indicators, specialized maps, relevant media articles and research results, and information on market prices and volatility. The portal is designed for researchers, policy makers, development planners, and the public. Virtual dialogues hosted by the portal allow broad information-sharing regarding lessons learned and potential paths forward. In 2016, the dialogues addressed the impact of El Niño/La Niña and the role of civil society organizations in Central American food security.
